What is Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy?

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy doesn't dwell on previous events but encourages you to live in this moment in time and build towards being the best version of you.
Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy is a forward-thinking, evidence-based therapy that focuses on finding practical solutions to the challenges you face. It works by a therapeutic conversation followed by what we call trance, which is a natural state with guided visual imagery. You are aware of your surroundings and the relaxed state encourages your mind to engage and enables it to exercise the natural ability to create positive change, helping you to focus on your strengths and goals rather than dwelling on past problems.
Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and Hypnotherapy
Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs illustrates how humans have basic needs that must be met before we can focus on higher levels of personal growth and fulfillment. At the base of the pyramid are biological needs, such as food, water, and sleep. Once these needs are satisfied, we can progress to the next level—safety and security—then to love and belonging, esteem, and ultimately self-actualisation.

Our sessions begin with a person-centred conversation, helping us to understand your goals and the challenges you face. We then use relaxation techniques (trance) to access a state where your mind is more open to positive suggestions and problem-solving. After each session, you will receive a relaxation track to use at home, reinforcing the work we’ve done and helping you maintain progress between sessions.
